As global upgrade sales controller you oversee the entire process for upgrade sales forecasting by all account teams globally and are able to effectively communicate with different cultures and teams within ASML finance. You are hands on and able to cope with fast-paced dynamic environment that requires insights into financial data, risks & opportunities.
Role and responsibilities
The global upgrade sales controller within the Business Insights & Control (BI&C) department is responsible for analysis & reporting of the global upgrade sales forecasting and challenging the local sales controllers on their forecast. Besides the content review of upgrade sales plans, this role is also responsible for the monthly coordination of the worldwide upgrade sales forecast as well as the yearly budget cycle and reporting the consolidated view to different stakeholders within finance (a.o. business line controllers and CFO sales).
Furthermore, part of the Finance 2025 vision of ASML is to automated the sales forecasting process, hereby enabling our teams to spend more time on value adding analysis instead of data-processing. We need your help to deliver on this transition and achieve this step up.
The role is part of a highly driven global team, working together with different parts of the finance organization of ASML. You will be exposed to several senior management layers in the organization as well as controllers in multiple countries (Asia, Europe and the US). Next to getting to know the ASML business this will also enable you to quickly build your network within the ASML Finance organization.
Together with the team you are responsible to:
- Deliver the monthly upgrade sales forecast on time;
- Use input of country controllers to prepare the consolidated upgrade sales forecast;
- Challenge the country controllers on their forecasts;
- Translate large amounts of data into insights;
- Explain the business drivers supporting the sales forecast;
- Adding quality and value to information by providing solid analysis;
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to automate planning processes;
- Provide proactive support and input to Sales/Business Line controllers.
Education and experience
Bachelor or master degree, preferably in the area of Controlling, Business Economics or Business Administration.
You have 5-7 years relevant experience in finance, accounting or data-analytics. You are an experienced user in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and have worked with or are comfortable with learning (new) BI Reporting tooling (e.g. Tibco Spotfire or Tableau). Preferably you also have experience in SAP (incl. BW, SAC, BPC and BO).

The job is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights & Control team. The global upgrade sales controller reports to the Senior Manager Customer Value within the BI&C department. He/she interacts with various departments in and outside of finance.
