The department ED EUV DE Source Laser is responsible for delivering the specification, design, integration and validation of the (CO2) Laser system which is a key part of the EUV Source.

Job Mission

In this job you will work in the integration team as part of the Drive Laser Release Train. The mission of this train is to design and industrialize the next generation of Seed Lasers and Amplifiers of our CO2-laser system as part of the EUV source. Goal is to increase output power and get better, more stable performance which is a constant demand for our systems. Also, to improve usability by our customers and our Customer Support teams, the laser system has to become more automated and more robust to failure and faster to recover. This requires mastering the full chain from requirement specification, design, and integration into the CO2 Drive laser.

More specifically the task of the integration team is to de-risk, qualify, test and troubleshoot the hardware modules in the CO2 Drive Laser. As a Scrum Master within the integration team your mission is to coach and facilitate using the Agile and SAFe framework.

Role and responsibilities

Job Description

You will be the scrum master of Integration Team within the CO2 Drive Laser train and will play a leading role in integrating and troubleshooting the hardware modules in the Drive Laser.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensures timely delivery of committed items taken from the backlog of the agile team
  • Leads, builds and facilitates the team to become high performing
  • Creates transparency and alignment on team speed, quality of deliverables and happiness.
  • Signals and removes impediments to ensure timely delivery from the scrum team
  • Ensures the team follows the technical way of working and ensures quality related to own discipline is secured in the team
  • Manages suppliers and outsourcing execution (rituals)
  • Creates focus in the team by shielding them from external interferences
  • Provides analyses of current team rituals, evaluates bottlenecks and advice regarding improvements in team rituals
  • Helps the people around the team to understand which interaction with the team is helpful or not
  • Ensures dependencies and risks are managed by the team
  • Reporting to Group Leader, operationally to the Release Train Engineer
  • Ensures the pre-conditions are in place to start a work item (Definition of Ready)

Education and experience

Education

MSc or PhD in a technical area, which is related to laser systems and/or integration.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably within ASML.
  • Knowledge and understanding of laser, physical and optical phenomena.
  • Hands-on knowledge within EUV Source.
  • Several years of experience within an integration environment is preferable.
  • SAFe certification
  • Scrum Master certification
