Introduction to the job
As a Software Development Engineer (Machine learning engineer), you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to develop the automation functions for our new e-beam inspection and metrology products.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Role and responsibilities
- Work closely with functional architect to design the automatic alignment algorithm
- Implement the machine learning strategy and test the prototypes (Python, MATLAB, C#, etc.)
- Make design improvement to existing algorithms
- Conduct presentations of progress and analyses to a wide range of audiences
- Troubleshoot issues in factory and customer sites
- Other duties as assigned

Education and experience
- Master or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
- Familiar with programming language (e.g. C# or Python)
- Experience using Matlab to build machine learning algorithms
- Understand modern machine learning algorithms
- Able to break down sophisticated machine learning model knowledges to digestible information for non-technical audience
- Able to meaningfully present results of analyses in a clear and impactful manner
- Experience with image processing and resolution measurement
