ASML, a market leader in the semiconductor lithography equipment, is looking to fill the role ofMDO (Major Deliverable Owner)/Project Lead within the Mechatronics Department in Wilton, CT. This person will be responsible for team leadership, execution, and reporting for the development and delivery of large, highly complex, mechatronic systems.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • As an Project Manager/ MDO you will lead the EUV Reticle Handler Functional Mechatronic Engineering Team.
  • Lead multi-disciplined, development team of 10+Engineers to ensure in-spec, on time, delivery.
  • Align and interface frequently with internal resources and suppliers in the US and Europe.
    Create project plans (schedule, resources and material requirements) with assistance from Project Leadership.
  • Define deliverables for mechatronic engineers & integration related activities for qualification.
    Lead the internal team’s daily activities on building, qualifying, testing & troubleshooting for a duration ~6 months.
    Organize, plan and host multiple workshops between suppliers and ASML employees.
  • Align with cross-sectors on regular basis to ensure on time delivery.
    Communicate upward and downward on regular basis.
  • Understand proper escalation paths and acts accordingly.
    Delegate tasks and follow up by tracking to completion.
  • Manage system and team interdependencies.
    Properly manage impact of changes of your system to the total machine.
  • Relevant knowledge in one engineering discipline (mono or multi).
    Manage design and program risks as well as program requirements.
  • Drive and lead the team to complete their deliverables while presenting and highlighting pertinent information to key stakeholders.
  • Candidate is able to assess and address technical risk based on input of architects and design engineers.
    Agile and SAFe experience is a plus in effectively leading the team.

Education and experience

  • B.S. degree preferably in:Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Physics or similar degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a project leadership or team lead role.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in: mechanical, mechatronics/robotics intensive environment
  • Previous experience within the semiconductor industry or precision engineering field preferred but not required.
  • Proven success in team or task management.
