ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. The Project Management Office (PMO) is an internal advisory group reporting to Finance that supports the business lines in executing project, program and portfolio management. Some examples of these activities include leading in optimizing project management methodologies, deploying best practices into teams for improved performance, identifying and implementing risk resolution KPIs for budget, time, and resources, and helping ASML achieve more predictable, profitable delivery for growth through transformative tools and processes. The team is located in Wilton, CT and works in close collaboration with the Program Management Offices in the Netherlands, San Jose, CA., and San Diego. ASML Wilton is the second largest office in the organization and has the second largest business portfolio.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

The PMO team is looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to support the design, implementation, and evolution of project management methodologies, applications, and plans to engage, inspire, and motivate people to embrace the significant cultural and behavioral changes that are required to drive the business forward. The Project Portfolio Manager will work with senior business leaders to understand their needs and address them through executable and recurring activities within project teams. We are looking for someone with strong finance, project/change management, and communication abilities who excels in creatively managing progress within complex organizations. Responsibilities include:

-Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments such as stakeholder analysis and project risk assessments on triple constraints of project teams to drive development of data-driven strategies for improving portfolio management.
-Develop and manage the execution of fit-for-purpose project management applications and plans to accelerate project progress; collaborate across program and technical teams to remain integrated with broader program plans.
-Develop and manage execution of leadership alignment plans to drive buy-in.
-Work closely with project team and leadership to develop and drive consistent key program messaging and content.
-Plan, develop, and work with PMO team lead to deliver communications and efficient engagement activities regarding PM methodologies, driving understanding about key areas.
-Setup and drive a structured Financial and Resource Management process for your portfolio that incorporates a long term outlook (5y), annual budget round (2y), monthly adjustments and day-to-day budget transparency.
-Evolve and drive the stage gate project management process for new product initiatives and developments.
-Measure effectiveness of your value-add and evolve plans as needed to best drive adoption and reduce risk of initiatives.
-Regularly report on activity status to leadership; work with PMO leadership to escalate and resolve risks and issues.

Education and experience

Minimum qualifications-the hired candidate must possess all of the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position including:

-Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, change management, organization effectiveness or communications required.
-Professional with 2+ years of relevant experience in project management and/or change management and/or communications related to strategic transformations. Professional with 2+ years of relevant experience in project management and/or change management and/or communications related to strategic transformations
-PMI certification or equivalent (e.g. CAPM, PMP, IPMA, Lean, Six Sigma, Scrum) is a plus.
-Experience and/or knowledge of AGILE/JIRA is a plus.
-Experience with building business cases, needs assessments, and requirement gathering.
-Experience as a project lead or associate of large and complex projects.
-Expert knowledge in the area of Project Management, data analysis, budgeting and finance, and supportive tooling/applications.
-Experience managing and deploying change.
-Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel; with prior MS Project preferred
