The Team Lead for Incoming Quality Control Inspection at ASML is responsible for ensuring all materials sent to QC for inspection are inspected in a timely fashion in full compliance with all design specifications and requirements as described by ASML Technical Product Documentation, inspection results are obtained at the highest standards possible, and communication of results are presented in a timely and professional fashion to all concerned parties. This person will also oversee the second shift inspection team to ensure efficient utilization of time, balance of work duties, safety practices are being followed and solid handoff from previous shift on a daily basis. This person will also perform hands on inspections on materials as needed to ensure all materials are processed in the shortest time possible at the highest accuracy.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage team of inspectors to ensure priority material are processed in the needed order.
  • Ensure all processing is recorded accurately and present reports as needed.
  • Become Key User in SAP to troubleshoot and manage all SAP issues.
  • Train new employees as needed.
  • Inspect material to ASML TPD and document inspection results by writing Material Notification reports for non-conforming parts using SAP to qualify and quantify observed deviations from the product Technical Procurement
  • Document. Interface with engineering with the results.
  • Material Handling experience a plus, with use of electric forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies overhead crane and other related equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Closely control the use of tools, materials and equipment; Verify conformance of incoming materials
  • Issue non-conformity reports for all non-conforming materials
  • Maintain work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Properlytransfer material in SAP for stock, rework or scrap.
  • Maintain material status in Excel (or similar) spreadsheet.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with all company regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Education and experience

  • Certified in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Strong equivalent considered.
  • Strong Ability to read and understand engineering drawings used to inspect machined parts.
  • Proficient in surface plate layout and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Proficient with dimensional inspection and test equipment (Caliper, Micrometer, Pin Gauges, Gauge Blocks, Micro Hite Gauge, Go-No Go Gauge, Depth Gauge etc.)
  • Proficient with; Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word(and SAP a plus).

Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
  • Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule – twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.
