Introduction to the job

We enable the creation and advancement of tomorrow’s microchips.We train EUV lithography equipment service engineers on ASML’s quickly evolving leading edge EUV operating and maintenance competences.To support the top semi-conductor manufacturing companies (ASML customers) in the world with ensuring their systems are available 24/7, we train EUV light source and scanner principles, system functionality, and preventive and corrective service actions.We partner with our global training colleagues to design and develop performance-based, instructor-led and web-based training programs that incorporate the most relevant technical procedures and equipment recovery processes.The Global Training Team is a driving force in maximizing system performance and availability for ASML’s customers, paving the way to bringing smaller and faster microchips that enhance all electronic equipment utilized in everyday life.

Role and responsibilities

The curriculum developer works across teams at ASML to understand training needs and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (including New Product Introduction (NPI), Competency Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and Integration Architects) to build technical training solutions in support of Customer and Field Service of EUV (extreme ultra-violet) lithography systems. With experience in standard instructional design processes using the ADDIE learning model, the candidate will be responsible for developing and producing world-class eLearning using industry-standard products.

The candidate will be responsible for assisting with storyboard creation/review; video and audio production; animation; voice-over work; and content management in the creation of self-paced learning modules.This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Consult with project leads, design and development teams, learning managers and subject matter experts (SMEs)

• Perform analysis and design of learning content to align training products with product customer support requirement.

• Review course content outlines, storyboards

• Build eLearning modules from existing storyboards

• Support the integration of modules into production environments

• Focus on the development and standardization of multiple modules

• Work directly with the design lead for the project. Liaise with technical teams when multiple instructional designers, developer and SMEs are involved

• Recommend best practice or improvement options to enhance methodologies, tools, and learning modalities in a blended learning environment

• Write and align assessments to course objectives

Education and experience

• BA or BS degree in Instructional Design or equivalent study with an emphasis on technical training development

• Training credential in work force education, technical field and/or equivalent experience and education

• Minimum of4-6years of experience in designing and developing technical training curriculum and learning products.

• Demonstrated proficiency in applyinginstructional systems designprinciples and methodology

• Demonstrated ability to create story boards that reflect incremental technical information transfer

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills with an advanced understanding of customer support

• Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Creative Suite, and Articulate 360 suite including Storyline and Quizmaker

• Ability to deliver clear and effective technical instruction to a broad range of ESL audiences

• Demonstrated ability to determine and effectively report trainee performance opportunities

• Familiar with in electronic, electrical, gas and/or mechanical engineering systems theory preferred

• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to engineering specifications, technical procedures and other pertinent engineering documents

• Must be able to work in a complex, fast-paced, highly dynamic, collaborative and flexible environment

• Must be able to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment

• Instructional Design

• Assess and analyze learning needs and technical trainingrequirements and proposeapply learning principles to determine strategy andmodality.

• Design and develop technology learning products for highly technical and highly skilled audiences using multiple training methodologies based on instructional systems design principles to include traditional instructor-based classroom learning, e-learning courses, and virtual reality/augmented reality tools that promote a rich learning experience.

• Select, modify, and integrate existing instructional materials that employ multimedia and emerging technologies

• E-learning Design

• Creates/Revises e-learning storyboards using MS PowerPoint software

• Create and Maintaine-learning content using Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Articulate software

• Work with project team to design and develop SCORM compliant e-learning

• Review storyboards and scripts for e-learning and vILT for formatting consistency and quality

• Work with LMS Administrator to upload eLearning content into LMS

• Multimedia Development

• Creates multimedia products using a variety of software programs, primarily in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and other production products

• Deliver products on-time with minimal defects

• Manipulate and edit digital imagery, video and incorporate graphics, and special effects

• Manipulate and edit sound using Audacity and other editing software

• Graphic Design

• Modify images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator

• Develop graphics for classroom-based and online training

• Incorporate changes recommended by SMEs and other content developers

• Review designs for standards and quality checks before publishing
