This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). As a condition of employment, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplined development team of ~10 FTE to ensure in-spec, on time, delivery.
  • Align and interface frequently with several projects in the US, the Netherlands, and Asia.
  • Create detailed project plans including resource and material requirements.
  • Define deliverables for mechanical, electrical, software, mechatronic, and materials engineers.
  • Align with cross-sectors on regular basis to ensure on time delivery.
  • Communicate upward and downward on regular basis to audiences of a wide range of technical abilities.
  • Actively engage with Group Leaders to secure necessary resources.
  • Understand proper escalation paths and act accordingly.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up.
  • Manage system interdependencies.
  • Manage defectivity issues in the total machine.
  • Properly manage impact of changes on individual modules and whole machine.
  • Manage risks, customer requirements, and escalations.
  • Assess and address technical risk based on input of architects and design engineers.
  • Understand operational risks within own scope.

Education and experience

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. MS Degree preferred..
  • 3 + years in a project leadership role preferred
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a mechatronics, robotics, materials science, or nanotechnology environment preferred
  • Previous experience within the semiconductor industry or precision engineering field preferred.
  • Relevant knowledge in one (or more) discipline related to the Defectivity project(e.g. materials, chemistry, mechanics, tribology, plasma physics, vacuum, cleanliness)
