Together with our product architects, you will interact with architects, engineers and managers from various groups to develop and implement a software test, integration and simulation strategy for ASML’s lithography machines

Role and responsibilities

Together with the Product Architects, you are involved during the entire product development cycle, with primarily focus on product testing, integration and qualification. You identify risks and make mitigation plans, guide and coach functional cluster test architects with test strategy and test plan, and deploy new testing and simulation technology.

You define and deploy the test (ISTQB) competences, frameworks, methodology and tooling for improving the test capability of ASML software deliveries through the software community at ASML. With project leads and release managers, you plan and lead the qualification strategy.

Responsibilities

• You will Identify product risks at all phases of development, and define mitigation actions in cooperation with the software product architects.

• You will define and describe the software product qualification strategy, document and roll out the test plans for software and system level testing.

• You will advice the product software release team during release Go/No-Go meetings.

• You will guide and coach functional cluster test architects (sub-system) and domain test owners to improve their test coverage, efficiency and robustness.

• You will define and promote a practical qualification roadmap with the technical test competences, and supports and deploy its execution.

Education and experience

Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Embedded Systems or equivalent.

• 10 years’ experience in architecture and development/engineering of software for complex high-tech systems

•Experience in developing and implementing test and integration strategies for large, complex software systems (with focus on product, not process).

The software architecture department in D&E defines software development strategy and owns the software development roadmap. We establish a flexible state-of-the-art SW architecture that enables timely and effective realization of ASML business objectives.

Position in the organization

The Software Product Test Architect reports to the manager of the Software Product Architecture group.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
