As a Sr. Business Planner you are responsible for effective manpower planning of our entire US Upgrades, Installations, and Relocations (UIR) staff (~130 people).This position requires management of several completing stakeholders to satisfy the business demands of our product managers, account managers, customers, and personal requests to ensure balance of supporting the needs of our business while respecting work-life balance for our employees.In this position, you will be responsible to exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.The position requires proven results to identify win/win results across competing groups and the necessity to build positive relationships conducive to success in high demand work environment.Manpower planning needs to take account many planning variables including delivery changes, delays (int/ext), and personnel schedules.Scope includes planning the preparation, execution and wrap up of Upgrades, Installations and Relocations (UIR) at assigned customer site(s). In this role, you will manage the forecast our organization’s manpower requirements and manage changes in manpower demand and supply effectively. As DUV UIR, our objective is to install, upgrade, and relocate leading edge lithography systems safely, at the customer site, within specifications, on time, with quality, and exceeding the customer’s expectations.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage our resource pool include the Plan, schedule and arranging customer support engineers (CSE), material handlers (MH) project leads (PL), coordinators for the execution of DUV installations, relocations and upgrades at the customer site, in cooperation with the world wide DUV UIR planners and the local group leads.
  • Manage a large group of stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.Stakeholder network example is inclusive of US Account Management teams per customer, Field/Site Management teams, Twinscan Factory management teams, entire UIR staff, and US-CS staff as necessary.This will frequently consist of identifying creative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Manage development of process for vacation requests and planning.
  • Manage supply/demand planning up to 2 years forecast including triggering the necessary training requirements to ensure capability will meet future demands.
  • Manage the stakeholder communication of proposed plan changes and related actions on project and program level.
  • Report progress and discrepancies to worldwide planners, project leaders, program managers and engineers/PLs/coordinators/MH.
  • Management reporting to stakeholders and project managers. Represent DUV UIR department in operational planning meetings.
  • Manage and develop local planning process and maintain central repository that can be used to assist real time communications to stakeholders, most importantly the employees that will be needed to carry out the work.
  • Support any necessary meetings & material required for supply/demand planning.
  • Develop local planning KPIs and report out in management daily kaizen meetings.
  • Provide administrative support when required (eg: headcount sheets, qualification sheets, Microsoft Teams pages, etc.).
  • Ambassador for DUV UIR, leading change and positive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver per commitments of Safety, Quality, Cycle Time, and Predictability.
  • Drive for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible to coach, manage, and support development of (1) business planner in the department.

In this position you report to the US CS DUV UIR Regional Manager.

Education and experience

  • BS degree (Engineering, Metrology, Mathematics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or equivalentexperience or > 3 years equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience handling a large scale of complex resource planning.Prefer 2-5yrs experience with proven results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment/negotiation skills in all levels of organization and with external parties.
  • Proven capability to shape and drive solutions pertaining to resource planning.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience as manpower planner, project planner or scheduler in a relevant environment.
  • Experience leading people and/or department.
  • Experience with project management planning software.
  • Knowledge of safety processes.
  • Multicultural awareness and solid teamwork skills.

Travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) for training purposes and meetings.
