We have multiple open positions available as Junior Design Engineer and one position available as a generalist interested in the standardization of our packaging. How do we decide which function suits you the best? We will take into account your skills and ambitions and we will decide after the selection day which position matches the best, along with your indicated preference. h for Technical Graduate program - Energy, thermal & flow. This track is now open.
Below you will see a short summary of our open positions. In your application, please mention whether your preference lies more toward the role of Design Engineer or Packaging Engineer.
Design Engineer (multiple open positions)
Within our Mechanical Development cluster we have multiple departments. Most of these departments focus on designing, building and testing mechanical systems and sub-systems, which are fitted into the end products ASML creates.
Your mission is to contribute toward the development of products by designing, creating and testing sub-systems, while considering the restrictions imposed by system specifications, costs and planning. Our Design Engineer jobs are related to different machines and modules. Your role could vary from our EUV and DUV machines, to our Application products; from the optimization of current products to the development of new machines; to within the products themselves - from the frame to the wafer tables & clamps, to the source or scanner.
From big frames to small modules, each come with all their own challenges - like high-speed robotics, liquid metals, high temperatures, vacuums, and high power lasers and all without limited space.
- You actively engage with your stakeholders to align their needs.
- You specify and design the precision engineered parts for different (sub)systems.
- You realize the qualification of the design by contributing to the specification of various tests.
- You design and realize test equipment and appliances and you are responsible for ensuring that prototypes are built and tests are carried out.
- You are responsible for the technical product documentation and design implementation towards manufacturing and field service.
As a packaging engineer you are working in the packaging team of the Handling and Transport Technologydepartment. The packaging team is responsible for the development of packaging, in order to ensure the required quality of our modules and parts during shipment or storage. The focus during the development of the right packaging has been on functionality and cost. ASML’s sustainability ambitions and growth require a new approach to packaging. Maximizing reuse, minimizing the carbon footprint, reducing waste, speeding up the development process and increasing the use of standardized solutions are new questions that we need to find answers to.
As packaging engineer, you will be a driving force, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, that will analyze, decide and develop the future of packaging at ASML. This is the job for a generalist with good stakeholder management skills, data analysis skills and strong conceptual thinking.
