A well-rounded mechatronics engineer in this position will work on mechatronics, precision handling of delicate parts, product and system integration and software functionality, all specific to ASML products. The main focus will be mechatronics and control systems on advanced modules in lithography tools. Candidate should have direct experience in the design and test of mechatronic systems and control systems, preferably in the area industrial robotics integration.

The Contract & Supplier manager is responsible for managing the supply chain that delivers the CRE F&M outsourced services. The Contract & Supplier manager contributes to maintaining a consistent set of physical assets buildings, grounds and services for ASML by optimizing the supply chain and partnerships with suppliers. At the core of this position lies the purpose to continuously ensure an aligned, consistent, fit-for-purpose, agile and forward-looking collaboration with suppliers. Key focus areas concern: professional procurement, contract management, performance management and supplier management.

The Contract & Supplier manager is both responsible for local contracts and supplier management in Wilton and U.S. Customer Service Sites as well as global support and guidance to contract and supplier managers at other ASML sites.

Role and responsibilities

Contract management strategies:

  • Develop strategic advice and sourcing strategies for the CRE F&M products, services and utilities in order to enhance existing supplier relations, optimize contracts and decide upon necessary tenders to procure new/changed products and services.
  • (co-)Develop policies for contract management in order to enable and optimize efficient business processes and contribute to the realization of business objectives.
  • Prepare content of contracts, programs of requirements, pricing models and performance management models to be applied in contract as well as the accompanying control mechanisms to manage the contracts.
  • Manage the contract base and ensure that tenders are run in time, with proper preparations and aligned content and related documents that are of professional quality.
  • Develop a strong framework of contracting agreements, service levels, KPI-models, financial models etc. that allow for transparent and uniform supplier agreements and performance management.

Supplier & partnership management:

  • Manage the supplier relations with the aim to establish durable and reliable partnerships stimulating suppliers to develop their products and quality in order to contribute to CRE F&M objectives. Achieve the next level in partnership management and continuously develop partnership models.
  • Develop and maintain the sequence of contract management activities throughout the year (such as monthly contract management meetings, QBR’s, innovation sessions etc.).

Strategic planning:

  • Manage the (multi) year plan process with suppliers in which the service delivery and allocated budget for each year is elaborated. Ensure that suppliers deliver constructive year plans and improvements and innovations, substantiated with relevant information (such as costs, volume information, quality specifications etc.).
  • Manage the process of contract renewal and redesign of existing contracts, to continuously ensure the best-fit contractual agreement to the specific services and occasions.
  • Together with the Asset Managers and Hard & Soft Service experts judge supplier plans and decide about the financial OPEX budget plans and how to translate this to the supply chain contracts.
  • Develop the short-term and long-term sourcing strategy and plan, anticipating to developments within ASML as well as developments in the market. Take into account conditions for contracting relations such as flexibility, cost awareness, supplier risks etc. that are topical for ASML.

Performance and financial management:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive system for performance management and metrics to monitor supplier performance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive system for structural financial analysis, forecasting and long term financial planning and control of supplier spend.
  • Manage contracts and suppliers by monitoring performance, providing budgets and developing the (multiple) annual plans with suppliers.
  • Responsible for the evaluation cycles, business review meetings, budget and performance reviews and managing scope changes in a structured manner.
  • Responsible for the continuous optimization of cost, performance and risk of products and services.
  • Responsible to set-up, manage and maintain benchmarking processes for relevant products and services in order to continuously improve performance.

Innovation:

  • Initiate and stimulate structural product and quality development together with suppliers and the CRE F&M content experts to continuously meet (new) requirements and innovate products and services through innovation boards, pilots, joint product developments etc.
  • Develop the requirements and contractual conditions that are essential to run innovation processes together with suppliers or to achieve a next level in partnership.

Education and experience

  • BS is required with degree in business administration, engineering & management, facilities management.MS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience
  • Must have strong communication skills
