Introduction to the job

Within Research we develop new concepts and the required technologies to move the performance of our next generation scanner products to exceptional levels. Environmental considerations are also taken into account, such as using environmental friendly materials and reducing the energy our scanners consume. It is our job to show the potential and pitfalls of these new technologies and concepts so our business lines can make clear decisions on what .

As we are expanding our team we have an opening for a Multi-phase flow modelling expert.

Role and responsibilities

In this job you create and improve simulation models to analyze the performance of new technical solutions and investigate potential new issues.

From your expertise you give input and feedback to the complexity of model needed to analyze the performance.

When discussing the results from your analyses in the team, you explain your modeling choices and how they impact the interpretation of the results.

From the results you show the direction the solution should go and you are invited to be creative and propose out-of-the-box ideas to overcome any issues.

Education and experience

The multi-phase flow simulations models we envision contain different physical phenomena. To name a few: free surface fluids moving over solid surfaces with different hydrophobic properties, gas flows to direct and steer fluid flows, break-up of fluid flows, gas bubble formation in fluids.

For the level of expertise we are looking for we expect you to either have a PhD in this field and recently graduated or you have some years of industrial experience after completing your MSc.

You are familiar with commercial modeling tools like StarCCM, COMSOL, or comparable packages.

You are not afraid to use dedicated simulation tools in MATLAB, and to script commercial tools to obtain the proper models.

You are creative in displaying complex results in a simple convincing way.
