Introduction to the job

Are you ready for the next step in your career? Become one of the key inventory analysts for ASML, and use data driven methods to identify and implement inventory efficiencies in one of the most complex service supply chains in the world.

You will contribute to the success of ASML by minimizing costs related to inefficient stock in the service supply chain. Be part of a team with supply chain talents in which every member has a direct impact on the profitability of ASML.

Role and responsibilities

You will be using analytics, including data analyses in Python, in combination with process analyses to steer the service supply chain towards an optimized inventory pool. Based on your insights you will create a dynamic reporting environment, forecast inventory levels and inform the organization on various opportunities for improvements.
Moreover, you will contribute to continuous improvement projects to further simplify our highly complex service supply chain.

This job is a combination of operational analyses and continuous improvement projects (about 50/50):

Operational analyses activities:

  • Work together in a team of 7 highly skilled individuals to optimize our service inventory
  • Perform inventory data analyses in Excel/Python, including forecasts and trends
  • Design and create tooling/reporting (Business Intelligence) to support in the inventory management process
  • Create transparency on excess and obsolescence risk (forecasting/machine learning)

Continuous improvements activities

  • Define inventory reduction opportunities and align with our internal stakeholders to realize reductions
  • Analyze service supply chain processes to drive down supply chain costs, by leading and participating in process mapping workshops
  • Convince stakeholders with data-driven inventory reports and visuals
  • Participate/drive cross sector initiatives to reduce inventory inflow that results in excess and obsolescence

Education and experience

Relevant Master degree (e.g. Operations Management & Logistics, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Supply Chain Management or Econometrics).


  • Experience with data analyses
  • Has <3 years of experience in (service) supply chain
  • Familiar with analytical technologies like Python and Business Intelligence platforms
  • Experience in working in a team driven by continuous improvement is a pre
  • Statistics and stochastic processes
