Role and responsibilities

In the position of re-use engineer you are responsible for arranging and performing technical assessments with function owners and architects. Together with the Project Lead and the re-use team you analyze the work packages and set requirements for the function module projects to maximize re-use and minimize waste as a result of the intended changes.
From the projects you extract learnings related to process, tooling, documentation and design guidelines within each project and support to embed them into the standing organization.

As a re-use engineer you will:

  • Contribute to ASML’s journey to the circular business model.
  • Apply and validate the re-use methodology together with the PL’s and the D&E re-use teams for various projects in new system development and installed base products.
  • You organize and execute technical assessments with the functional module teams and define the re-use requirements.
  • You interact with functional module designers and architects on technical content.
  • You create and capture the learnings and assist in embedding these into the ASML existing processes and GID’s.
  • You assist in developing the way of working for the electronic department re-use.

Education and experience

BSc in electrical/industrial engineering.

  • >3 years of experience in developing, integrating and testing electronics preferably for high tech production equipment.
  • Solid technical background (both theoretical and practical) in electronics.

The D&E Edev re-use competence team is part of the D&E Architecture Platform & Apps department and works for the cross sector re-use cluster.
You will report to the D&E Re-Use GL.
