ASML is known for its lithography systems- machines which combine state of the art optics with laser technology and powerful mechatronics modules.
Mechatronic Systems Development (MSD) provides cutting edge mechatronics solutions for ASML products. MSD specifies designs and trade-off technical solutions and predictably integrate, industrialize and deliver mechatronic subsystems. These include stages to transport and position the wafer within the machine, steer mirrors and other optical elements and provide a disturbance-free dynamical environment.
For these and other mechatronic applications linear electrical actuators are being used. The actuator lab secures and Develops Actuator Competences for Product Design, Quality and Manufacturability of Coil and Magnet Assemblies.
Increase the overall actuator competence within ASML by developing all technical and process competences required to design, produce, test and qualify linear electrical actuators.
•Work in multidisciplinary project teams, aimed at Actuator Process development for existing processes and future actuators
•Design, build and maintain test set-ups to qualify performance, endurance and other actuator parameters.
•Execute testcases to validate electrical, thermal or functional performance of components and actuators.
•Performing mechanical and electrical measurements on actuators and/or components used in linear actuators.
•Build up and maintain specialist knowledge in the fields of actuator design, test setup, design of experiments.
•Contribute to the actuator competency within ASML and execute parts of the competence roadmap.
Master or experienced Bachelor Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics or Electronics
Our preference goes out to candidates with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within ASML or in related high tech industry. A solid basis in mechatronics, data acquisition and test and measurement setup’s is required.
Pro-active, hands-on mindset, strong analytical skills, being able to operate within a multi-disciplinary team are key for this role. Skilled in Matlab, Simulink and Labview and excellent English communication and writing skills.
Context of the position
The holder of this position reports to the Group leader BM MSD EUV Manufacturing and Equipment engineering.
