Job mission:

The Senior Finance Controller - Taxation will be part of the Financial Services (FS) Tax & Treasury team which is a division within Finance Global Enabling Services. The FS Tax team, who primarily focuses on the effective and efficient execution of tax related processes, is a key business partner to the Expert Tax Advisory team who focuses on technical tax requirements withing the ASML Group.

Role and responsibilities

(Co-) responsible for:

  • Worldwide ASML tax line preparation (including uncertain tax positions, deferred tax, return to provision/prior year tax adjustments, other discrete tax items etc.)
  • Financial control execution of related Income Statement and Balance Sheet items
  • Routine forecasting annualized effective tax rate and expense, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Execution of the routine tax financial close process (Monthly, quarterly, Year End) and making sure general ledger accounts reflect correct value
  • Key support person during tax audits, new tax rulings, and other queries
  • Various reporting and analysis requirements
  • Determination & monitoring of tax positions of NL and EMEA entities for local GAAP purposes
  • Income Tax Returns filings withing Europe
  • Annual report disclosures on Form 20-F of ASML Holding including XBRL filing thereof
  • Statutory annual report (IFRS) disclosures of ASML Holding
  • Execution of SOx processes which relate to taxation
  • Dedicated service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuous improvements of process and procedures

Education and experience

  • Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, also in writing
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in (internationally oriented) comparable positions and/ or Big four experience; ideally coming from an (assistant) manager position
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable (tax) accounting rules (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Reasonable data knowledge
