Then the position of Project leader in the EF Install program management team might be just what you are looking for!

The EUV Factory is responsible for the production and installation of EUV machines until Site Acceptance Test at the customer. Within the EUV factory the Install Program Management team is responsible for New Product Introduction for the EUV platforms including EXE. This includes so called 6p=P work prep validation as well managing Cycle Time- and Cost targets. New products from D&E are transferred into volume-production and continuously improved to meet the various roadmaps (Quality, Cost, Cycle Time and Move Rate capability).

Role and responsibilities

The Install Program Management team is the single point of contact from EF install towards D&E and x-sector product- and cluster teams (with the EF EXE manufacturing program management team), as well as owning the EUV EXE Install defined milestones in the range of mechanical install & qualification of both the scanner, source as well as the drive laser. The EF Install Project Leader ensures effective and efficient NPI introductions in EF, (input for) Key Decision taking within the cross sector Product Generation Process of ASML and issue resolving by EF (Install) and D&E, in order to improve the EF Install roadmaps as mentioned above, focusing on the EXE.

Project management

  • Drive for a smooth introduction of NPI and improve on the current baseline of Install Milestones and ensure that the preconditions for ramp up are defined and delivered. Actively participate via the EF EXE program team in Design for Manufacturing studies, introduction of new/changed products/processes/material flows/tools.
  • Deliver & secure the Install requirements for the new product into the design specifications. These requirements are mainly related to Cycle Time, Quality, safety and cost.
  • Define, maintain and effectively communicate the production process together with D&E for the agreed product scope, including deliverables according to the Product Generation Process, and required resources.
  • Ensure proper representation of the Install department within the cross-sector cluster teams or sub-product teams.
  • The delivery of the work preparation is a shared responsibility between D&E and Production engineering. You are acting as a PL in between and you are accountable to manage the delivery of the complete work preparation package before it hits the shopfloor at install.
  • Manage (within these tasks) the workload, set priorities and assure timely and correct execution of all department tasks, solve bottle necks.
  • Gather factual data and input for future design changes (requirements) leading to Cycle Time- or cost reduction and to predict the feasibility of production- and product performance.
  • Consolidate above mentioned topics into roadmap(s) for the scope you own and drive.

Drive Cycle Times and Costs down including Continuous improvement

As EXE is building up the initial scope will be to setup the organization from a milestone perspective required to flawlessly execute the first EXE Install and have a pro-active and effective feedback loop regarding structural issue solving. Depending on the specific assignment you are also responsible for improving the EF EXE baseline on these performance indicators and standardization of processes.

Education and experience

BSc / MSc technical degree (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics/Physics)

  • Broad technical and business knowledge.
  • >5 years of ASML experience (knowledge and understanding of ASML’s technically complex products and processes).
  • Experienced in project management.
  • Experienced in production processes, new product introduction and continuous improvement processes is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean methodology is preferred.

Other information

The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place around the world at various locations (mainly Taiwan, Korea and US). The position is Veldhoven based but when relevant and possible visits to our customer sites might be necessary.

The EF Install Project Leader reports to the EF install Project Manager and works together with the other Program- and Project Leaders in the EF Install Program Management team as well as EXE Production Support Engineering and the Program Management team within EF EXE manufacturing.
