Role and responsibilities

As an Architect and Product Owner of the HMI DevOps Infra team, you ensure that your team provides the developers with a stable and state-of-the art development environment that supports Continuous Integration. With an focus on the software test framework, build environment and infrastructure services, both on premises and in cloud facilities. This focus of this team is to deliver a state of the art, software build, software test framework and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) as developer work environment.
Next to this you are also a team lead. Meaning you are responsible for this product, but also a day to day team lead, from both an HR and finance perspective. As the right hand of the DevOps manager.
Build an active relationship with your stakeholders
Team setup and competence management
Finance reporting to stakeholders and DevOps manager
Maintain the team’s backlog and set priorities based on a clear motivation
Prepare and participate in and outside PI events to actively align with your stakeholders
Actively participate in the relevant Agile/scrum rituals
Pro-actively look for potential improvements and prepare them for evaluation by the team
Manage the team’s roadmap; align with stakeholders, ensure execution
Contribute to enhancing the continuous integration pipeline for speed, flexibility and usability
Strong background in software development, system administration, and automation.
Experts in cloud technologies, continuous integration and deployment, and infrastructure as code.
Skilled at using tools and practices like version control, configuration management, and infrastructure automation to build scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
In addition to the technical skills, a DevOps infrastructure architect should have strong communication and collaboration abilities, as they often work closely with development and operations teams to ensure that the infrastructure supports the organization's business goals.

Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or software engineering.

Minimum 7 Years of relevant experience

Experience in devops activities, preferably in a large development organization
Software developer in a C#/.NET development team
Demonstrated leadership skills in an earlier role as Team Lead, Scrum Master or Product Owner
Experience in an Agile/SAFe organization
Worked in a CI/CD driven organization
Implemented Software test frameworks
Strong background in software development, system administration, and automation.
Experts in cloud technologies, continuous integration and deployment, and infrastructure as code.
Skilled at using tools and practices like version control, configuration management, and infrastructure automation to build scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
In addition to the technical skills, a DevOps infrastructure architect should have strong communication and collaboration abilities, as they often work closely with development and operations teams to ensure that the infrastructure supports the organization's business goals.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

The California base annual salary / hourly range for this role is currently $125,625- $209,375. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and
