Job Description
In this function you take a pro-active role in identifying and executing improvements primarily in the monthly financial review but can also include improvement steps in our global annual budget cycle and long-term financial plan. You will drive continuous improvement through initiating and executing changes together with subject matter experts involved in the processes which enhance the efficiency effectiveness and quality of financial planning information, tools, processes, analysis and organization. You will also support in preparing and managing the monthly financial reviews, long-term financial plan and corporate global annual budget cycle, ensuring high quality planning information in terms of relevance, content, accuracy and timeliness. You will play a role in preparing Financial Planning & Analysis presentations and communicating with Senior Management, the Board of Management and the Executive Board. Your remit is to identify, communicate and monitor financial risks and opportunities, and to translate those - in close cooperation with controllers – into executable actions with aim to improve business performance.
Education
To qualify for this challenging position you need an academic degree in Business Economics (or similar), preferably in combination with a RC-degree.
Experience
You have at least 3-7 years relevant working experience in a Business Control or FP&A environment and demonstrated experience in managing complex financial processes in an international environment. Extensive experience with planning applications (SAP BPC and/or SAC is preferred) and related tools (SAP BW, BI reporting, etc).
Personal skills
You have strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to translate complex business issues into clear messages. High energy and continuous drive to change and improve processes. You tackle your tasks pro-actively and show ownership of issues from start to finish. You are able to work independently and in teams. You have the ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders across the organization.
Context of the position
The Business Insights & Control organization plays a key role in ASML’s overall Finance organization. The Controller Financial Planning & Analysis reports to one of 2 Managers Business Insights & Control Consolidated, and interacts with controllers of the business lines, sectors, group functions, regions across the globe, treasury, tax, project management and the decision support group.
This position has high visibility both within and outside the Finance department.
The ASML Finance department operates in a dynamic environment where learning, commitment, business partnering, flexibility and continuous improvement are top of mind. We are responsible for driving cost effective transactional, fiscal and financial processes on a global scale, supporting business decisions, financial planning, action management, risk mitigation and maintaining appropriate corporate governance practices.
