Introduction

The Yieldstar Source and Alignment group has grown in people and complexity. Therefore the group will be split into 2 groups:

  • Group 1: an Alignment Function group (positioning the wafer accurate in X, Y and Z);
  • Group 2: a Yieldstar Light Source function group (creating & shaping the light with regard to wavelength, bandwidth, polarization, spotsize, etc.)

Job Mission

As a Group Lead/Manager of a functional group within the Business line Application D&E you lead and manage a group of professionals in a specific area of expertise. The holder of this position reports to the director of Yieldstar optical column.

Job Description

  • Manage a team (typically around 15 – 25 people) of highly driven and motivated professionals in a specific area of expertise on the aspects related to people, process and product;
  • Act as a function owner;
  • Define and implement the function and resource roadmap for the group;
  • Interact with project leaders in the development programs and secure allocation of staff in line with program needs. Review project plans and proactively support project realization;
  • Manage the delivery of designs that meet the requirements stated by the ASML product development programs. This involves activities such as reviews of technical solutions proposed, technical product documentation produced by the group and project management decision documents and coaching of group members;
  • Work with co-developers, suppliers and external staff supplying parties to enable and manage development projects on site at ASML or at co-developers sites;
  • Ensure quality of operation of your group by reviewing of technical solutions proposed, procedures, documentation delivered by the group;
  • Hire world-class group members to excel in project and product deliverables;
  • Will be responsible for the performance management and development for your team;
  • Has an active role in identifying gaps in competence and driving improvements;
  • Is a member of a SAFe ART management team regarding, staffing, organizing, debottlenecking and representing the line.

Education

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Physics, Optics, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering.

Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience in developing, integrating and testing complex multi-disciplinary products;
  • Solid theoretical and experimental experience in the discipline;
  • Experience in managing a group of technical professionals based on an energetic and can-do way of managing people;
  • Experience in managing/working with suppliers.
