Introduction to the job

Would you like to be part of our Sourcing & Supply Chain (S&SC) department? Are you an enthusiastic project lead who can support in the translation of ASML’s ESG Sustainability Strategy including CO2 scope 3 reduction ambition into commitment and action at suppliers? We are looking for a committed project lead that helps driving the supplier sustainability milestones and put plan into actual deliverables!

ASML has grown a factor 2 in the past five years. This kind of scaling affects our own organization in terms of operations and strategy but also impacts our carbon footprint and society’s expectation to reduce this. ASML have committed themselves to targets and due to the nature of our business this means ASML needs to work together with suppliers to achieve those targets. Our sustainability ambition generates actions to be implemented at our suppliers, specifically in reducing CO2 emissions, waste reduction and circularity. In the role as project lead you will ensure engagement with suppliers on these ESG topics. Your role is to support the S&SC ESG team to drive timely completion of the agreed milestones and to ensure that S&SC internal stakeholders as well as our major suppliers are well informed and involved in this journey.

Role and responsibilities

In this job you will be supporting in engaging our suppliers and driving progress on the sustainability program at our suppliers in close cooperation with stakeholders from S&SC, the Corporate ESG team and from the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) sector.

  • Work together with your sustainability stakeholders and the communication partner to further implement ASML engagement approach including a communication package. Sustainability topics to include are supplier CO2 emissions, Waste reduction, Circularity, Conflict Minerals and RBA compliance;
  • Support the S&SC ESG sustainability team in the creation of a S&SC ESG Strategy and roadmap;
  • Support in actions that are required to achieve milestones and committed targets on supplier CO2 emissions
  • Support the S&SC ESG team for content support at suppliers and/ or at ASML and collaborate with the ESG Corporate team to provide support and content sessions;
  • Standardize data analytics on supplier environmental / social performance, supplier segmentation, for report out to business.
  • Analyze and report out on progress of the supplier sustainability program to Senior Management;
  • Support in driving RBA and Conflict Minerals sustainability targets at suppliers;
  • Support execution of project roll-outs on ESG topics.

Education and experience

  • A Master’s or bachelor degree in the field of economics/ finance and/or supply chain management, with 5 years of work experience or proven relevant experience:
  • >3 years of experience working as a sustainability/EHS compliance project/ program manager or consultant on projects impacting a large group of stakeholders
  • Experience with sustainability in supply chains and/or relevant ASML experience is a pre
