Introduction to the job

As senior group leader you will manage the source laser driver laser modules group and drive laser modules function (FC-71), which is part of the EUV source laser department (SF-15). This group is responsible to specify, define and validate the drive laser of the source laser system together with our partner TRUMPF. As part of the source laser department you have a key responsibility to meet our EUV power and availability targets which are critical for our EUV customers.

Role and responsibilities

The drive laser modules senior group leader and function owner manages a team of approximately 15 persons. This is a senior team which includes the functional cluster architect, product architects and lead engineers, project leaders, and the key SAFe roles; chief product owner (CPO), release train engineer (RTE).

The senior group leader and function owner interfaces with our partner TRUMPF, system engineering, TechDev and all contributing disciplines. Together with the functional cluster architect you are responsible to define, align and deploy the drive laser roadmap to these stakeholders.


The source laser department works in a SAFe operating model. You will represent the multi-disciplinary driver laser modules agile release train (DL MOD ART) towards the program and in the quarterly management reviews. You are part of the 3iab for the driver laser function projects.

The driver laser modules ART is accountable for the delivery of the drive laser meeting the ASML product roadmap specifications, where TRUMPF is responsible for the detailed drive laser design. This means that the deliverables within the ART for NPI mainly focus on: Requirements engineering, Interface definition (F-072 / SF-15), Industrialization, (on-droplet) qualification and source integration. And within the IBS program the focus is on issue prioritization, customer critical escalations, source integration (performance and industrialization) and Configuration Control (FCO, CR/CN, …). Hence, close collaboration with our partner TRUMPF is essential for success.

You will report to the source laser department manager and you will be part of a larger group leader team. The job is scaled as job grade 10 – 11 depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.
As drive laser modules senior group leader you will:
- Lead a team of seniors including project leaders and architects
- Manage the drive laser roadmap process
- Be responsible for the overall performance of the driver laser ART. The multi-disciplinary ART consists of ~100FTE from ~10 - different teams incl. an on-site TRUMPF integration team of ~7FTE. As senior group leader / function owner you are the chair of the GL-Table.
- Be part of the source laser department staff. As part of the staff have an active role towards organizational, process, competence and people development and represent in source laser staff.
- Act as a main group leader and contact point for the product cluster manager (PCM) for the NXE:4000 program
- Be responsible as main interface and maintaining open relation with our partner, TRUMPF

Education and experience

To successfully manage the challenges and complex environment, the senior group leader needs to have experience working on high-tech products in multidisciplinary and high pace environments.

- Master’s degree or PhDin physics orsimilar
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant technicalfield
- Experience in new product introduction or systemperformance integration
- Proven ability to work in a complex global stakeholderfield
- Several years’ experience in managing a team
