Introduction
Are you a bachelor/master student with a background in Physics and Mathematics? Do you have an affinity for programming? Are you an analytical person interested in technical challenges? Then this internship might be interesting for you!
Background information
ASML manufactures complex lithography machines that chipmakers use to produce integrated circuits, or computer chips. These lithography machines contain a lot of powerful mechatronic modules. Metrology orchestrates the behavior of all these modules such that together they achieve an extraordinary combination of speed and accuracy. Advanced metrology systems are used to measure and compensate for sub-nanometer inaccuracies that inevitably creep in due to material imperfections, temperature fluctuations, atmospheric pressure changes or drift of modules.
Your assignment
There is currently a strong push to develop new XT platform and improve the existing one in order to fulfill the demand of the mature market. Competition is strongly present in this market, making the need to improve our platform even more pressing. The aim of this internship assignment is to modernize our existing (mathematics/physics) metrology models, which is implemented in our software baseline to use the latest state of the art of programming methods.
The assignment consists of the following tasks:
- Investigate the existing models in documents and in code;
- Create a repository to host the new model;
- Implement the model into a new one using such latest the art method;
Your profile
