Mechanical Engineering Graduation Internship : Study on Ultrasonic Motors
Research & development
In a nutshell
Research & development
No experience (Student)
Are you studying Mechanical Engineering? Are you a solution-oriented person who has a hands-on type of mentality? Then this internship might be interesting for you!
MBI - Multi Beam Inspection
Within Applications, we are focused on creating machines that inspect semiconductor wafers for defects that have occurred during previous lithography. The used electron-beam inspection can image and measure defects at the nanometer scale, which challenges our engineers to create a wafer inspection platform that is insensitive to any influences which could compromise the inspection. Within the competitive market of wafer inspection, it is also required to build these machines at an attractive price. Herein lie our daily challenges.
In this internship, you will do a literature study about ultrasonic motors. The tasks include:
- Create clarity about what the performance is and if they can be used in the ASML use case;
- Creation of test plan and setup that is able to test and verify the applicable use case;
- Execution of test plan;
To be the perfect match for this internship you:
- Have educational background in Mechanical Engineering (precision mechanical oriented);
- Have experience with 3D design;
- Have practical mindset;
- Are proactive and open for feedback;
This is a Bachelor/Master assignment which is suitable for a graduation project with a duration of at least 6 months, 4-5 days per week. The start date is as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
