This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

NPI Program Manager will have responsibility for project management and leadership over operations new product development programs in support of high precision optical/stage components for advanced lithography systems.Program manager is accountable for overall program execution which includes program planning, schedule creation and timely execution. This person leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop and industrialize complex optical components for next generation systems. NPI program manager oversees and manages all aspects of NPI projects, and serves as liaison between project management, technical leadership, logistic & planning, and senior management.

Majority of new product introduction in optical fabrication includes manufacturing using advanced engineering materials such as zero CTE glass ceramics, ceramic composites, complex wear resistant tribological coatings and optical coatings. Manufacturing processes commonly includes 5-axis CNC machining to form complex structures, lapping and polishing to figure optical surfaces, lithography or laser ablation to create sub-micron surface modulations, thermal processing for annealing and complex bonding technologies for ceramics and glasses.

Expected functions for this position can be listed as follow:

  • Understand technical and program requirements, complexity of manufacturing and final application of components planned as new product introductions.
  • Create project schedules which includes project timeline, tooling requirements, human resources needed, and facilities upgrades required.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery and reviews status, manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Understand project issues and facilitate development of resolutions to meet program goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem solving by engaging operational line managers and cross-functional technical leaders.
  • Communicates with stakeholders to ensure the end products functions as intended.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with manager, co-workers and customers.
  • Mentors and support junior program managers and process engineers on program management.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in science and engineering required, advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant program management in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must be able to Create project schedules which includes project timeline, tooling requirements, human resources needed, and facilities upgrades required.
  • Must understand technical and program requirements, complexity of manufacturing and final application of components planned as new product introductions.
  • Project management advanced training or certification is preferred.
  • Needs to be result driven and demonstrate ownership and accountability.
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
