This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Role and responsibilities
The US Tax Senior Expertise Specialist will be located in the Chandler, Arizona office and will report to the US Tax Senior Expertise Manager. The position will be responsible for analyzing and documenting new and existing tax positions. Other responsibilities include:
- Assist central US compliance (tax and finance) teams in gathering and analyzing required disclosures.
- Research and provide guidance on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other tax types.
- Participation in cross-sector projects.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders as well as other Tax and Customs team members to identify tax-relevant topics and provide solutions.
- Assist in managing US income tax audits, tax inquiries, and tax notices.
- Work with the Tax and Customs expertise teams to ensure relevant priorities are addressed.
- Some travel required (5-15%).
Education and experience
- Master of Taxation/LLM or JD is preferred.
- 0-5 years’ experience in US corporate income tax, (some experience in US taxation, international tax and transfer pricing is helpful but not required).
