Software Engineering Internship (non-thesis): Continuous Integration for Stage Position Measurement

Introduction

Are you studying Software Engineering and are you interested in continuous integration? Are you a good communicator and familiar with Python or Bash? Then this internship could be interesting for you!

Background information

ASML is the market leader in developing photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. A sub-function inside this sophisticated machine is ‘stage position measurement’, which is responsible for calculating positions of moving stages with nanometer accuracy. Continuous feedback is essential to develop good quality software. We are looking to improve our current Continuous Integration (CI) system in a number of ways.

Your assignment

During this internship you will understand the current continuous integration framework within ASML. Additionally, you will propose, design, and implement process automation based on input from the development and integration teams such as:

• Automated traceability from user stories to release notes;
• Automated dashboards for CI process metrics.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship you:

• Are familiar with HTML, CSS, and/or, Javascript;
• Are interested in working with data platforms (Splunk)
• Are open minded and are willing to learn from your colleagues.

Basic knowledge on REST API, and Jira, Github and Jenkins is a pre. This is a Bachelor apprentice internship lasting 5-6 months (5 days per week) starting in August or September 2023.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
