Key responsibility for the Portfolio Strategy Manager is to set up and maintain an effective Value Stream structure to drive key decision processes and breakthrough initiatives, and to orchestrate change initiatives within the different sectors in the Value Stream Make & Install while being a linking pin to the Value Stream Lead, the running projects/programs as well as the Business Line DUV.
The Portfolio Strategy Manager is positioned within the TWINSCAN Factory Operational Excellence Business Improvement team A team consisting of Business Engineers, Value Stream Managers & Project Leads.
The Portfolio Strategy Manager has a dotted line to the DUV M&I Value Stream Lead.
Role and responsibilities
The role as project portfolio manager offers the opportunity of combining structural tasks with project or program management. The portfolio manager supports the Value Stream Lead in achieving the DUV priorities and objectives by effective stakeholder management towards the sectors and Project/Program Leads, setting up/initiating/leading processes for key decision making, setting up and leading the structure for breakthrough portfolio management, and/or leading one of the projects from the project portfolio. Daily tasks will consist of a combination of the following activities, in close collaboration with the other Value Stream Managers & Project Leads:
Role and responsibilities of the Portfolio Strategy Manager:
·Drive the development and deployment of the BL DUV strategy and business priorities via the yearly Hoshin Kanri strategy process. You will facilitate this strategic process and ensure the project portfolio for the upcoming year is in line with the business goals.
·Drive the execution of the Value Stream breakthroughs via the monthly portfolio review. You will facilitate this strategic session and ensure the projects remain in line with the business goals.
·Responsible for the annual portfolio and roadmap of projects and initiatives that affect the DUV Make and Install value stream via the Hoshin Kanri process, drives the inclusion and prioritization of these projects in the financial planning of the value stream and enables execution of the portfolio.
·Support in making the next step in benefit management for TWINSCAN Factory and DUV Make & Install breakthrough portfolio
·Challenge and pro-actively advise the DUV Make & Install staff members at strategic / tactical level; driving effective decision making on all levels in Value Stream by excellent stakeholder management
·Leading projects from the breakthrough portfolio, or participate in one or more breakthroughs:
oInitiation and facilitation of workshops with stakeholders
oMake the link towards the Value Stream priorities and objectives
oManage the non-product related project pipeline (roadmap) as input for the yearly review (Hoshin Kanri yearly review)
·Representative of TWINSCAN Factory in Project Management competence center, and rollout/implementation of Best Known Methods and standards towards the project community in TWINSCAN Factory
Education and experience
Master degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a technical discipline/industrial engineering.
We are looking to hire a candidate that has approximately 5-8 years of experience in a project management or program management role. Preferable within an operations or supply chain environment.
