Background information

ASML is the market leader in developing photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. A sub-function inside this sophisticated system is called “Wafer Positioning group”, this group ensures the delivery of integrated embedded software solutions.

Your assignment

Scanning is an important functionality provided by Wafer Positioning. A scan is a move that follows a precisely defined trajectory at a constant speed. Hence it is important that the scan is performed with high accuracy and correct speed. The assignment is to create a Scanning test Suite.

The purpose of the Scanning Test Suite is to test different functional and performance aspects of the scanning types, protocols and settings on Test Bench. The Test Suite will contain 4 automated testcases each verifying a different aspect of Scanning.
The Assigment will allow you to get a good insight on working in the Wafer Positioning software team, learn the complex system of how scanning is performed, develop the test in python, and also get a chance to test the code in Testbench.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship you:

  • Have a background in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field;
  • Have experience with Python and C/C++
  • Are a good communicator who is eager to learn.

This is a Vocational (MBO) and Bachelor apprentice internship lasting 3+ months, 3 days per week starting as soon as possible.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
