One of Sourcing & Supply Chain (S&SC) key responsibilities is incoming supplier quality for ASML’s factories and Service Business. In today’s complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by addressing potential bottlenecks, supply risks and disruptions before they impact our customers.

S&SC manages its supply chains up to seven tiers deep to ensure ASML’s supply keeps pace with technological developments and can adapt to changing business conditions and external threats.

Job Mission
The Quality Supplier Manager Team Lead manages a group of ASML’s suppliers within a certain category towards competitive quality performance.He/she works with suppliers of complex modules on process optimizations and de-risking the supply network of quality and technical risks.Focus of the work is on continuous improvement and operational excellence by managing and improving volume control, process optimization and supplier development.He/she is responsible for managing his/her team of Quality Supplier Managers (QSMs).

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage group of ASML’s suppliers within certain category towards competitive quality performance through managing a team of Quality Supplier Managers responsible for overall quality process performance and supplier development
  • Building relationships with key suppliers and managing them towards operational excellence
  • Initiate and drive yield and technical process improvements of critical supply chains
  • Member of the Quality Supplier Management team thatdrives the supplier selection process and secures longer term
  • Quality performance and operational excellence
  • Actively manage improvement pro-active programs at suppliers and their n-tiers (Supplier Quality Roadmaps)
  • Represent S&SC in the handover process / transition of new products to volume phase
  • Secure effective communication internal as external
  • On behalf of Supplier Quality Engineering Management group, responsible for quality escalation processes and reporting
  • Build-up and develop technical competences within ASML (SPC, lean manufacturing, FMEA, operational excellence)

Education and experience

BS degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management or related field. MS degree preferred.

8+ years relevant work experience in e.g.,:

Proven line management track record in high tech, automotive, medical device, aerospace, process industry or equivalent

Operational Management of Supply chain and/or manufacturing functions in one of the above mentioned industries

Experience in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers

Experience in managing and coaching of professionals in a production / operations environment

Other information

The California base annual salary/hourly range for this role is currently $135,000 – $225,000/yr. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
