Introduction to the job

The products of ASML’s Applications Business Line products are critical elements in high end semiconductor manufacturing processes. They build on the capabilities of our world renowned scanners, using them as an actuator to correct distortions caused by other process steps.

Within Digital Platform Solution (DPS) software products provide our customers with the means to optimize and control their manufacturing processes. Our software brings huge benefits to our customers and the use of our products is increasing fast. A team of over 400 software developers works together with application engineers, process experts and support specialists to develop our unique market leading applications. Development is largely done in Java and our applications run in a Linux environment on a local server.

In order to meet the delivery requirements of our customer, we have a Continuous Integration process that we continuously improve upon.

Our development organization uses Scrum/agile/SAFe.

Role and responsibilities

Job mission:

You will be part of the Quality & Integration team (Q&I). Q&I is responsible for the integration of the deliverables from over 40 development teams into software packages (release/patch) and testing the package at system level before releasing to ASML customers for beta test. Your mission is to setup and maintain full stack valid configuration for the digital platform by:

  • Documentation, versioning and governance of platform public interfaces
  • Define and publish recommended software baselines
  • Define and thoroughly test recommended upgrade paths
  • Define central location for platform and application software
  • Define and enforce uniform versioning scheme
  • Define reference test configurations

Job description:

Execute Configuration Management strategy to successfully and consistently enable delivery of high-quality software products and services on time and to specification. Align with Customer Support, Integration architects/leads, Product Architects and Developers in terms of integration. Maintain a customer’s point-of-view integration view. Closely cooperate with the product teams on integration the product end-to-end (progression and regression).

Defines and manages the Configuration Definition process in accordance with the Configuration Management Architecture guidelines (IC-010). Responsible to build the competence to support the cross-sector teams (CS/Mkt) in the introduction and following of these processes and drive the adherence to these processes.

Organize and secures the Configuration Definition Processes (IC-010). This role safeguards Configuration Definition Process and its adherence during the lifecycle of the product and supports the configuration owners in driving the operationalization of the Configuration as Designed (Valid configs).

Education and experience

Education:

Bachelor, computer sciences, software engineering, software testing e.g. ISTQB.

Experience:

  • Experience in creating Test & Integration strategies for ASML products
  • System Test & Integration
  • Configuration Management
  • Experience with test automation
