Role and responsibilities
Design mixed signal circuit which includes but not limited to, analog switch, data converter (DAC and / or ADC) for e-beam deflection systems.Design low-noise, high bandwidth and high linearity amplifier circuit for e-Beam drivers
Lead the design team on quick turn around prototyping, all the way from preliminary feasibility study, schematic, PCB layout to prototype validation
Working with Sr. Designers and Function Architects to derive function/performance specification of subsystem or modules from high level requirements.
Conduct schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB layout for all types of circuits mentioned above
Work with sourcing team and procurement team to select the right outside suppliers for components and fabrication service
Support sub-system level and system level integration and troubleshooting
Education and experience
Master with +8 years of hands-on experience or Ph. D. with 3+ years experience
Hands-on experience on LNA/ADC/DAC circuit design, performance quantification and optimization, including corresponding front-end circuits.
Mixed signal circuit design with high sampling rate (>800Msps, 16bits and beyond). Utra-low noise wideband analog switch / switch matrix circuit (operation frequency range starting from DC to at least several hundred MHz)
Familiar with equipment such as DMM, SMU, signal / function generator, oscilloscope, signal / spectral analyzer, and network analyzer.
Having dense experience working with suppliers on DFM/DFT improvement for high-volume manufacturing.
Knowledge and experiences of board level and module level shielding and grounding
Familiar with simulation tooling for circuit performance modeling
Experienced with high-voltage(>400VDC) signal amplifier circuit design, including safety compliance consideration.
Familiar with electrical element selection based on characteristics, performance, application and cost.
Additional Skills and Experience Preferred:
Knowledge and experiences of signal integrity and power integrity is a plus
Knowledge and experiences of PCBA / module level thermal management is a plus
Knowledge and experiences of test/measurement automation is a plus
Knowledge and experiences of EMI/EMC compliance is a plus
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). The California base annual salary / hourly range for this role is currently $134.625- $224,375. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and
