At ASML we manufacture complex lithography systems critical to the production of microchips, unlocking the potential of people and society by pushing technology to new limits. In order to capture customer value and business opportunity ASML needs effective business performance improvements. The sector Business Performance Improvement (BPI) has been set up to connect teams across ASML to deliver business performance improvements and to enjoy learning along the way. BPI will operate as a sector, a collaboration network (Head of BPI & Strategy) and a standard way of working (BPI Key Decision process) to increase the effectiveness of ASML's cross sector initiatives to improve business performance.

Within BPI the Business Change Management (BCM) team is focused on developing and driving the business change strategy, change competence building and change deliverable execution for the BPI implementation as well as for the cross-sector BPI initiatives to achieve business performance improvements.

The BPI (senior) initiative business change manager is responsible for driving and delivering the business change management strategy and deployment throughout the BPI-KD process and therefore has a cross-sector focus. This is done in co-creation with the line organization and a multifunctional team of cross sector-business process owners (X-BPO), architects and program managers amongst others. The BPI (senior) initiative business change manager is also responsible for change competence building in co-creation with other competences such as project management, benefits management, learning and communication.

Role and responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • report to the Head of BPI BCM initiative support and work together with the BPI BCM team members, the broader BPI team members, sector change managers, competence centers and the line organization for successful implementations and competence building
  • take ownership and responsibility in defining and delivering the change management-, learning- and communication strategy and the deployment of strategic / tactical business performance improvement programs (initiatives) in co-creation with the line organization and a team of X-BPO’s, program management and architects
  • be responsible for the business change management related topics in the BPI-KD process, including a quality risk assessment (definition, delivery and quality)
  • be responsible to build business change management skills in the line organization and initiative team together with other competences such as program management, benefit management, learning and communication
  • coach leadership in their role as “change and commuication leader”
  • best practice exchange and learn with other BPI initiative business change managers
  • functionally manage a team of change managers within initiatives

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a business and/or technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven senior experience (10+ years) working in large scale business change / transformation programs in a technical industrial cross-cultural environment (experience in ASML organization is a plus)
  • Senior training, facilitation and coaching skills and experience at various organizational levels (leadership to shop-floor)
  • Knowledge and experience with change management and continuous improvement methods as Lean and/or Agile
  • Knowledge and experience with program-project management, benefits management, learning and communication
