As ASML systems are extremely complex, our customers factories are extremely complex as well and cost billions of euro’s.
Do you find it a challenge to understand our customer’s requirements to build factories and utilities? Can you define and help implement ways to meet their requirements? Then this position might be something for you.
Role and responsibilities
You will be part of the pre-install group which provides the requirements our customers need, in order to design, build and qualify their factory before we ship and install the system. Since ASML systems are continuous improving the challenge is to minimize the impact on customer facilities.
The preinstall process is regarded as a vital part of installation cycle time and therefore has recently become a separate D&E group within ASML. Your main activities include among others:

- Review technical documentation, analyze issues and ensure completeness and quality.
- Participate in FMEA
- Participate in the first Pre-Install execution
- You educate and support operational sector on the pre-install package.
- - Knowledge transfer
- - Education second line support customer support
- You educate and support projects with your infrastructure knowledge and drive improvement:
- - Improve training material, templates and processes
- - Analyze lessons learned, create improvement proposals
- - Build up and share Fab& Pre-Install knowledge
- You handle questions on the requirements from our customers, system integration and our own factory and drive them to a solution.
- You are familiar with the fab of the lithography system and can determine the impact of design changes on the semiconductor fab.
- Can include clean room activity’s at ASML and customer include traveling up to 15%.
Education and experience
- Technical Bachelor and/or Master in preferably mechanics, electrical and electronics or thermal & flow
- At least 3-5 years relevant working experience, preferably in the area of factory preparation or machine install/upgrade and have understanding of complex systems work.

You will be part of the Fab Infra & Pre-Install group which provides the requirements our customers need, in order to design, build and qualify their factory before we install the system.
The Pre-install process has a high priority and therefore has recently become a separate group within ASML.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
