Role and responsibilities
You as Release Train Engineer take responsibility with you team of scrum masters for the execution of the committed work of the Machine conditioning Agile Release Train. The work consists out of hardware (mechanics, electronics) and (embedded) software for ASML’s lithographic products.
You enable your teams to work in a cadence, complementing each other and help the teams to find better ways of collaborating and become high performance teams.
You enable continues improvement supported by creating transparency and employee engagement this in closely collaborate with the Chief Product Owner, Project Leaders and Group Leaders. Strong interpersonal communication skills are crucial in this multi-disciplinary and dynamic environment.
Main responsibilities:
Ensures the deliveries committed by the Agile Release Train in the planning event by create transparency and alignment on Agile Release Train status by setting up, coordinating and facilitating agile rituals like Plannings events and Scrum of scrums.
Removing impediments and managing Agile Release Train dependencies and keep team focus aligned with train priorities to prevent the teams from getting distracted and escalate where needed.
Support and coach scrum masters on agile practices and behavior to become high performance teams.
Work with the Group Leaders to keep the Agile Release Train stable and solve staffing issues.
Provides insights and transparency on Agile Release Train maturity, predictability, progress and employee engagement by creating and maintaining high level KPI’s.
Create a Continues improvement mind set to ensures that the ART relentlessly improves on the way of working (based on lean-agile mindset and principles) by challenging the way of working, collaboration with Agile Release Train members and making improvement proposals.
Aligns with other Release Train Engineer on (x-) Agile Release Train way of working to speed up learning.
Education and experience
University level, Master in Physics, Mechanics, Mechatronics.
1-3 years of management experience in projects, as line manager or as RTE in a technical environment
2-5 year of experience in leading a technical team of experts in a multidisciplinary environment
Experience with SAFe/ Agile is a pre.
