Introduction to the job
The sector TWINSCAN Factory (TF) is responsible for the production and installation of TWINSCAN systems, including planning and logistics. To assemble these complex systems, assemblers need up-to-date and understandable work preparation (sequence and work instructions). Due to time pressure and lots of design changes the workprep in TwinScan Factory needs a significant upgrade.
A multi-year project is running to upgrade workprep for TF. The team of workprep engineers acts as the driving force for this project together with the deployment lead to align activities between engineering, assemblers and outsourced technical writers.
Role and responsibilities
- Define together with engineering/assemblers the scope of a workcenter cleanup
- Act as primary interface for a workcenter towards a group of outsourced technical writers
- Review on shopfloor the work instructions with assemblers to gather their input and discover discrepancies between design documentation & current WoW on shopfloor
- Drive resolution of discovered discrepancies & final approval of improved work instructions with engineering and assemblers
- Update the sequence with output of work instruction cleansing
- Measure, monitor, inform and help escalate on bottlenecks
- Continuously improve the cleansing process on quality and efficiency
Education and experience
Bachelor or Master in engineering or comparable, no prior experience is required.
