Introduction

Are you a Master student in the direction of Computer Science, It or similar? Do you have basic programming knowledge? Are you curious and looking to expand your skillset and gain new experiences? Then this internship might be interesting or you!

Background information

Digital Platform is part of the newly formed Business unit (DPS). One of the products this department is developing is the Equipment Performance Server (EPS), a product which ASML places at customer sites to support ASML Customer Support Engineers. Given the complexity of the ASML lithography machines, this EPS Servers are key to have high availability.

Your assignment

The application software described above is created by specialists in other teams. Together with the EPS team of ~20 people it is your task to investigate alternatives for a test platform to test the components in the platform. For the components you should think of K8S, VMWare, MongoDB, ISTIO etc...Of course these components are tested thoroughly outside ASML, but the ASML specific use cases ask for a framework to test our specific use cases.Use cases can be e.g. "a connection to a socket is broken, etc.". The team you will work with designed the hardware setup, the virtualization layers, manages firmware updates and provides a key set of supporting software services to manage the hardware platform. The team is very strong on the technical aspects.

Your profile

To be a perfect match with this internship, you:

  • Are a Master student in the direction of Computer Science, IT or similar;
  • Have basic programming knowledge (Python);
  • Are familiar with Linux;
  • Are curious and able to work independently.

This is a Master graduation assignmentwith a duration of 6 months, 5 days per week, starting as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
