Job Mission

ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML's corporate headquarters is in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. The company has lithography research, development and manufacturing operations in Wilton, Connecticut and in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. Technology development centers and training and application facilities are located in Asia, Europe and the United States. The Manufacturing Operations in Wilton Connecticut is responsible for the production of subassemblies for lithography tools as well as purchasing and logistics. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within Manufacturing.

Job Description

This position is based in New Product Introduction Group (NPI) within the manufacturing sector in Wilton, Connecticut. The scope of the work includes management of Manufacturing Engineering (ME) deliverables in cleanroom facility expansion projects, work center (assembly area) layout, updates to existing layout drawings, ad hoc issue resolution, work preparation, supporting and advising the production engineering department, structural improvement projects, quality management and process optimization to reduce the number of contamination-causing activities and sources.

-Deliver timely and professional engineering support on contamination control (particulate contamination) related issues and questions as a member of the contamination control competency team. The contamination control competence acts as a primary point of contact for internal customers such as engineers, technicians and designers.
-Gain familiarity with best practices of cleanroom design and concepts.
-Drive an assessment program of ASML manufacturing, delivering improvement proposals to our production line, and assisting them with implementation.
-Structurally improve ongoing and new contamination control processes in terms of quality, safety, or cycle time.
-Ensure work preparation for contamination control processes meets required standards.
-Participate in cross disciplinary issues resolution and improvement projects.
-Interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a broad range of levels.
-Provide theoretical and practical training.
-Build-up and maintain state-of-art knowledge in the field of contamination control technology.

Education

Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering, physics, or related engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience

-Experience with cleanrooms required.
-Exposure to semiconductors or particle-sensitive experience preferred
-Exposure to project management preferred
-At least three years’ experience in an Engineering environment.
-Knowledge of Cleanroom technology.
-Knowledge of clean way of working and clean production processes.
-Knowledge of inspection and cleaning methods.
-Experience with working in a manufacturing environment.
-Experience with executing audits or assessments.
-Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
