ASML San Jose, CA is an industry leader in computational lithography for integrated circuits. Our Tachyon platform enables capabilities that address chip design, photomask making and wafer printing for semiconductor manufacturing and the LithoTuner platform enables lithography optimization for ASML’s leading photo lithography tools, known as ‘scanners’.
Brion Technologies is a division of ASML and an industry leader in computational lithography for integrated circuits. Brion’s Tachyon™ platform enables capabilities that address chip design, photomask making and wafer printing for semiconductor manufacturing. Brion’s Fab Products enable lithography optimization for ASML’s leading photo lithography tools.
In the software research and development (R&D) team, you will be a key member to develop high quality software and contribute to all phases of the development process from designing to release. You must be responsible for independently developing and testing the algorithms and turn general requirement definitions into functioning modules. A good candidate should exhibit strategic thinking, be self-motivated and collaborative with team members.
You will review and analyze requirements, assess the impact of changes to software, provide estimates of work effort, design and develop software, and write unit-tests.
Ph.D. or M.S. in physics (computational physics preferred), computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or related areas, or equivalent experience.
-3+ years experience – numerical simulation, modeling, or similar (academic or industry).
-Experience developing object oriented software in Python.
-Knowledge of software design principles and software engineering processes.
-Experience with C++, Git, JIRA, or similar.
-HPC - High Performance Computing. (Linux/Unix)
-Semiconductor process and lithography knowledge A+
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Proactive sense of ownership.
Context of the position
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings.
