Background information

At Metrology & Machine Control part of our work isdeveloping diagnostic data files and tools. Factory and field use these filesand tools to diagnose machine downs and out of spec situations. The mainchallenges are:

  • The growing volume of and diversity in diagnostic data files;
  • Classification of files in relation to customer confidentialinformation;
  • Extensive landscape of (un)official diagnostics tools spread over thecompany.

Your assignment

Yourassignment can be split into two parts:

First, for diagnostics data files you:

  • Create an overview of diagnostic data files and their classificationslike encryption, anonymization, location. This overview can help reduce thediagnostics time by improving data accessibility at customer sites;
  • Interview the stakeholders to check if they have enough guidelines todesign diagnostics files in accordance with data policy;
  • Align the overview with the product architect to enable the customernegotiation on data accessibility.

Second, with diagnostic tools you:

  • Create an overview of the available Metrology diagnostic tools, theirfunctionalities and compatibilities with various file formats;
  • Gather the requirements from stakeholders for the (un)packingfunctionality of different file formats;
  • Align with Metrology diagnostic tooling owners if existingField/Factory diagnostic tooling functionalities can be covered in Metrologydiagnostic tools (with the help of Field/Factory);
  • Create a report with identified gaps and solution proposals.

Within the assignment you will be supported via:

  • Close collaboration with the Industrialization Architects for assignmentinput;
  • Receiving the readily available information you need, like a list of allknown diagnostic tooling within ASML;
  • Connections/meetings with the architects from different sectors(Development & Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Support).

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship you:

  • Are a Bachelor or Master student in Computer Science, Data Science, or any other related field;
  • Are an analytical thinker who is able to see the bigger picture;
  • You have the drive to understand and create a concise overview in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Speak and write English on an advanced level.

This is a Bachelor's or Master's apprentice internship with a duration of 6-9 months for 3-5 days a week.

Please note that we may only consider students who remain enrolled at their educational institute for the whole duration of the internship.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
