Introduction – Job Mission
The discharge chamber is a core module of the ArF excimer laser. Investigating the Multiphysics problem in the module is a major challenge to improve its performance. In this internship, you will tackle this challenge with your knowledge, experience and talent.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
·Review internal and external material to learn about the knowledge of related topic
·Develop metrology for gas flow characterization in the discharge chamber.
·Conduct hand-on experiment to realize the metrology design
·Data processing and analysis. Demonstrate the design feasibility
·Potentially learn the commercial flow simulation toolbox and conduct simulation to assist understanding of experimental results
·Document and present the findings as well as making an end of summer presentation to the group on the achievements.
Education and Experience
·Current active students in PhD or MS program (PhD preferred) and will be graduating at the end of 2023 or 2024 with a GPA no less than 3.5
·Preferred Major/Field of Study: Electric Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plasma Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics, or similar discipline
·Knowledge of fundamentals of fluid physics or laser physics or plasmas
·Hands-on experience with building and setting up engineering/physics experiments
·Demonstrate capability of learning new knowledge and apply learnings to problem-solving in limited time
·Experienced on data acquisition/analysis software such as MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW etc.
·Knowledge with CAD software such as Creo, Solidworks, Autodesk etc. is a plus
·Multiphysics simulation experience with commercial software or scientific-oriented code is a plus
