Introduction to the job

As an Electronics Integrator, you will participate in the testing and validation of FPGA designs, diagnosing problems and solving manufacturing or design issues. Ensure highly reliable electronics for ASML's EUV systems. Participate in cross-functional teams and work with multiple engineering groups to test and qualify new FPGA features . Work with advanced technologies including digital communication, photo-detectors, signal acquisition, and distributed high precision timestamping.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities


  • Execute experiments on test set-ups or prototype machines to ensure that the documented results meet the requirements set by the architect.
  • Make work breakdown structures and estimates for the integration of the FPGA electronic products; specify and document the test requirements in conjunction with the FPGA design team.
  • Analyze and solve reliability issues; facilitate smooth transition of the new design to manufacturing, including assessment of technical risk.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to incorporate FPGA qualification into overall electronics qualification strategy.
  • Design and document the qualification tools for verification and integration purpose.
  • Own Firmware Test Benches.
  • Influence the definition and design of electronic developments on diagnostics, testability, manufacturability and reliability.
  • Work together with the EMC competence to test compliance at the on subsystem level.
  • Analyze issues and suggest proposals for design improvement.
  • Influence the definition and design of electronic developments on safety, diagnostics, testability, manufacturability and reliability.
  • Contribute to problem solving activities during full proto integration; support issue resolution and root cause analysis.

Education and experience


  • Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of experience as integrator and/or test engineer of electronic/electrical functions.
  • Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics, firmware and software.
  • Comfortable in using test- and measurement equipment.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience of analog and digital designs with system level debug abilities.
  • Broad technical knowledge of cabling concepts, connectivity concepts, EMC, safety.
  • Ability to context switch and multitask efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in FPGA design and/or verification methodologies.
