To achieve this, you will be using your unique mix of consulting, analytical, and creative communication to translate insights into stories that can solve business challenges.
Job Description
- Discuss with the analysis requestor to understand clearly the analysis required and the mode of data delivery.
·Coordinate the collection and compilation of HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources.
·Generate insights using trend analysis to tell the story using data to make informed decisions. In other words, translate the data into actionable information.
·Create briefing presentations and visualizations based on data, using story-boarding.
·Analyze data and statistics to identify trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, diversity, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations and other HR or business functions.
·Participate in presentations to learn various aspect of the operations.
·Collaborate with ASML’s HR Analytics Partner and HRIS team on the analysis method and tools for specific projects.
·Conducts and maintains statistical analysis of workforce to assist in evaluating EEO/AA progress; identifying areas of concern, achievements and non-compliance with established policies.
·Utilize data analytics tools such as Spotfire and/or Tableau.
·Seek opportunities to drive innovation and process improvement within the reporting /data analysis spectrum.
·Interns will typically be required to document and present their findings as well as making an end of summer presentation to the group about what they achieved during their internship.
Education and Experience
- Studying towards a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics and Data Analytics, Operations Management and Analysis, or equivalent technical domain. At least 2 years of college education completed.
- Required technical and analytical skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Solid communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
- Skilled in excel, power point, and the ability to scrub data to present a final product.
- Ability to develop visualizations, and work with a variety of analytic products or dashboards.
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and internal customers.
- Work within procedures and provided timelines.
- Ability to handle highly confidential data.
- Preferred working knowledge of open source or commercial data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, etc.)
- Familiarity of Workday Dashboards/Reporting and a strong Microsoft Excel competency.
