Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) has an important assurance role with respect to IT & OT Security of ASML assets.
The RBA Security department deals with the implementation of security controls to protect the technology and infrastructure, managed, and used by several ASML sectors.
You will work in a team with security enthusiastic professionals responsible for the following security areas:
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Reporting
The persons in this team are each responsible for the security of their attention areas and act as each other’s back-up for certain topics. The team has an assurance role within ASML and is involved in various projects to provide advice on security topics and check/verify if new application(s) or solution(s) are compliant to the ASML security policies and standards.
Vulnerability Management (VM) plays an important task here: by recognizing and addressing detected vulnerabilities on time, ASML is less vulnerable to potential cyberattacks, which can lead to data breaches, service disruption and other damage.
The main purpose of this assignment is to support the VM team by doing research into the implementation of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) for Vulnerability Management.
You will be investigating the benefits and challenges, and work with different stakeholders to determine the feasibility of this implementation. You will make recommendations based on your research and write a proposal on how to implement SOAR for Vulnerability Management. Finally, you will build use cases within the development environment.
In case the internship is longer than 3 months, and time allows it, an additional assignment can be to research how we can implement API (Application Programming Interface) Vulnerability Management and to build use cases within the development environment for this as well.
To be the perfect match for this internship, you:
- are a student with a background in IT;
- have a strong affinity with IT or OT Security, as well as KPI's;
- have analytical skills;
- are enthusiastic and ready to work in a dynamic environment;
- have great communication skills in English, both verbally and written.
This is a bachelor or master graduation project. This internship has a minimum duration of 3 months, 5 days per week, starting as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
