As a customer marketeer you are continuously challenged to interface between the customer and ASML on all DUV products and services. You will have to learn and understand their problems, prioritize them and translate them into actions for the ASML organization. These actions are driven from business perspective and directed to all relevant departments in the organization.
Job Mission
Your mission is to drive the DUV business at the customer. You set direction for activities within the Business Line (BL) and steer applicable ASML Operational Sectors in order to secure and extend ASML’s market position and create customer value.
Job Description
- Primary interface from the customer(s) (Account Team) to the BL;
- Knows what happens at the customer's site, in the market and understands the needs of the customer;
- Drives NPI plans for new products at customer and interfaces with internal development organization;
- Secures right product offering for new business deals (VPA);
- Secures and drives activities to meet business targets at customer;
- Manages customer escalations and secures proper follow up in the ASML organization;
- Investigates new business opportunities at the customer (e.g. CSR - Customer Specific Request);
- Chairs the cross-sectoral Customer Team (D&E/Program, CS, Sales, Logistics and Quality);
- Involves relevant Product (Manager) if relevant for customer;
- Defines elements for the Product- and Service Roadmap, based on customer questions;
- Develops and prepares customer presentations independently;
- Manages customer satisfaction and enhance customer intimacy;
- Ensures a consistent and aligned customer communication across the Business Lines;
- Asses competitive landscape and define levers to increase market share;
- Works with account teams to define customer engagement plans;
- Uses sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure sales and profitability of our products.
Education
Minimum Master degree in a technical area (e.g. Engineering or Physics). An additional education in business (e.g MBA) is nice to have, but not a must.
Experience
- 8+ years’ of experience in similar position at ASML or our customers;
- Experience in product marketing and product management with working knowledge in lithography;
- Experience in working with semiconductor customers worldwide;
- Experience in leading cross functional teams in global operations;
- Business sense.

- Experienced in different leadership styles and influencing without power;
- Building bridges between customer and R&D, but also the rest of the ASML organization;
- Translates complex problems from customers to daily operations for ASML sectors;

- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
Context of the position
Within ASML the BL DUV is responsible for the full product portfolio of Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) systems, including P&L responsibility. The BL is supported by a number of business functions, such as Development & Engineering (D&E), Sales, Operations and Sourcing. You report into the Director Product Management.
Other information
International travel up to 20%-25% is part of this position.
