D&E - Software System Architect - Tainan

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a track record of successful software development projects. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing software architecture, ensuring the quality of the codebase, and contributing to the development of best practices for our software engineering team..

Role and responsibilities

In D&E Software system engineering team, we are in charge of the development of the EBI (e-beam inspection) products to meet the requirements form marketing or customer sites. We co-work with US and NL D&E team on the new e-beam inspection products’ development. We also co-work with manufacture, production and field service team to realize the bench or tools to shorten the product lead-time, help on module or system qualification and reduce on the time-cost to trouble-shooting and system recovery.

• Design and implement software architecture for complex software systems

• Cooperate with product architect, functional architect and system engineering team to align on the solution, breakdown the design to meet customer needs and provide the effort estimation.

• Communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems

• Ensure the quality of the codebase by conducting code reviews

• Assist customer service team, application team to conquer field site issues.

• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment

• Support in house engineering, production and manufacture team to construct tool, testing bench for system qualification and methodology for performance evaluation

Education and experience

• Master Degree above

• Major in Computer Science and Information Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering

Skills

• 6+ years software development experience on .Net, C# and C++

• 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

• Strong software architecture skills with experience in designing and implementing complex systems

• Experience with system integration and control, preferably in the semiconductor or related industries

• Experience in decomposing complex problem to software requirements, design, development, and testing
