Business Information Management Internship: Data Model and Reporting Improvements

Introduction

Are you a Bachelor graduation student in the direction of Business Information Management or Software Development? Are you looking to put your Data Modelling or Requirements Engineering skills to use by working out the requirements for 1 central database? Then this internship might be interesting for you! 

Background information

Within our Development and Engineering sector that consists over more then 13.000 engineers, there are 3 clusters that develop software. These Software clusters deliver different types of software for ASML (Machine drivers, Metrology software, Control Software and Diagnostics and Analytics). Part of our the software development is outsourced to 3rd party suppliers. These suppliers, create various deliverables as part of ASML's Scaled Agile Framework: Agile Release Trains.

Your assignment

Currently there is a need for better insights in our supplier workforce. Most reports are based on financials and there is a need to gain more insight is the composition of this external workforce. A lot of the information regarding the Farmout Population (engineers, competences, teams, models, onboarding, seniority, tariff, IT equipment etc..) is maintained in 4 different decentralized EXCEL sheets and some central tooling.
The assignment is to work out the requirements for 1 central data model/database and reporting such that this can be the basis of a project that will start to bring this into ASML's central tooling. This will help getting the insights and work as a prototype for the implementation of future tooling. This prototype will act as showcase and provide it's value as a Business Case for the project.

Your profile

To be a perfect match with this internship, you:

• Are a Bachelor graduation student in the direction of Business Information Management or Software Development;
• Are experienced in Data Modelling and Requirements Engineering, programming is a plus;
• Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written);
• Have experience with stakeholder management.

This is a Bachelor graduation internship starting as soon as possible, with the duration of 5 to 6 months, for at least 4 days per week.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
