Role and responsibilities
ASML Wilton is seeking a highly-motivated EH&S Specialist who will provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of Workplace Health & Safety Programs by supporting the Site’s 2nd shift operations (1:30pm-9:30pm) schedule. The EH&S Specialists will collaborate with other safety personnel on workplace safety plans, risk assessments, procedure reviews, etc., while playing a key role in maintaining compliance, the incident reporting and analysis process and work closely with Supervisors and Technicians to develop and implement corrective actions preventing recurrence. With the committed support of ASML Wilton and ASML Corporate Management, promotes a culture focused on safety and injury prevention to maintain and implement best practices for a comprehensive Safety Management System.
Improve EH&S workplace performance by promoting an incident-free work place, identifying and mitigating safety risks and implementing safety programs.
Development and implementation of programs and procedures to assure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local occupational safety standards and ASML Corporate requirements.
Development and presentation of workplace safety trainings. Train and coach onsite personnel.
Conduct compliance audits and guide teams with implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Conduct risk assessments (JSA, ergonomic assessments, etc.) as needed to reduce workplace injuries.
Lead safety incident investigations, work with key stakeholders to develop root cause analysis, and identify corrective actions.
Coordinate implementation of actions which drive continuous improvement. Verify the appropriateness and effectiveness of action plans associated with incidents JSA’s and audit findings.
Support Hazardous Substances Management Program (new chemical approval, SDS updates, quarterly audits, exposure calculations, in-house hazardous chemical container labeling).
Data collection and analysis.
Routine internal reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual updates).
Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with ASML operations.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Safety, Security, Emergency Management or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety role.
Must be available to work 2nd shift hours (M-F, 2:30pm to 11:00pm) *Shift Differential Pay
Knowledge and understanding of Federal OSHA, State, and Local safety regulations as well as industry best practices.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Machinery and Machine Guarding, Crane and Hoist, Powered Industrial Truck, etc.
Knowledge of working with hazardous and highly toxic gases.
