Finance Internship: Standardize and professionalize financial business cases

Introduction

Are you a bachelor student in Finance, Mathematics or something related? Are you interested in professionalizing the ASML financial processes? Then this internship could be interesting for you!

Background information

The ASML Finance department is responsible for all financial, economic and fiscal affairs. Finance is preparing and managing the long-term financial plan, global annual budget cycle and monthly financial reviews ensuring high quality planning information. In addition, finance also supports in building and reviewing business cases / plans to enable high quality decision making within the business line to (dis)continue product developments to bring to the market. 

Your assignment

The goal of the assignment is to further professionalize the process and report out of the financial business cases to ensure a unified approach within the business line. Specific deliverables are:

• Definition document: Detailed overview of calculation methodology to be used for specific parameters (NPV, ROI, etc.). & meaning of abbreviations.

• Standardized template to be used for input & report out to stakeholders.

• Calculation model which is fed with input of standardized template and automatically reports out the results in a specific format.

• PowerPoint model in Wdesk which reflects the data output in a specific format.

• Process description including flow charts, RACI, way of working of gathering the information including deadlines & links to templates. 

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

• Are a bachelor student in Finance, Mathematics or something related;

• Have experience with Financial Modeling including probabilistic risk adjusted valuations;

• Are expert in MS Excel;

• Preferably have W-Desk experience

• Have strong communication skills, both written as verbally.

This assignment is suitable for an apprentice internship for 4 days per week, with a duration of 4 months. The start date is as soon as possible.

To be eligible for the internship, you need to be enrolled as a student during the entire duration.
